Flying field up dates & changes |
|
PARCS has undergone many changes over the last 12 months.
Some of the changes are:
- ELECTRICITY. Yes that's right. Now all members can charge their aircraft at the field with 240v plugin.
- the north-south runway has been extended to 216 metres.
- the east-west runway has been extended to 209 metres, although the original east-west runway of 160 metres still remains operational.
- with the new structure of the fields we can also accommodate helis simultaneously whilst normal aircraft are operating.
- the pits area has been extended substationally to keep members aircraft safe and secure.
- a new driveway from the road to the clubhouse, ensuring the 170 metre drive is a comfortable and pleasurable experience.
- car parking has been increased significantly. We can now park over 100 cars comfortably and have adequate room for large trailers.
- 100% of the fencing has been replaced giving PARCS a fresh, new look. The remaining old section will be replaced in the near future completing the upgrade.
- new cooking facilities.
- a drink machine to quench the thirst before and after a flight.
PARCS continues to strive to be one of the premier clubs on the Peninsula, offering members and visitors a safe, friendly and quality venue to fly at. Please watch this site, and we will continue to keep you updated on what is happening and what is being planned for the future.
UPDATE.
New signs have been erected around the field now and from
the members response they look and give a good visual guide.
The large model start up pad will be happening soon.
BIG NEWS
PARCS has a new mower to replace the old Hustler. After our
last meeting the members agreed that we needed to update
our big mower after it failed us again. After looking around we
went for a Toro and it only has 290ha on the clock and it is
very good to drive.
So for all the members who always help out its pay day, and
after our four day training on the gold coast it should be great?

PARCS flying site.
